The Pykara leather is a saddle leather full grain unpressed, uncorrected, smooth grain and flesh. It is vegetable-tanned and therefore non-allergenic. A very light natural leather, it offers a pleasant sensory experience, reflecting the nobility of leather. Pykara leather is nourished with emulsion oil. This makes it ideal for skins or leather goods requiring a high finish without grease. Pykara leather is available in natural ideal for embossing work. It is also available in pigmented finish black, chocolate, havana and cognac. Pykara leather is used for all leather goods, small leather goods, cutlery and furniture.

t was totally self-taught that in 2019, Mr Cian Byzery began to learn traditional techniques and ended up launching his small craft manufacturing company L'Atelier du Chat Lunatique located in Indre, in France. Mr Cian Byzery works mainly with full grain vegetable tanned leather, only by hand, using the traditional saddle stitch technique. He always favors quality over quantity. He also chose to work “the old-fashioned way” without electricity, only with techniques and know-how from yesteryear. Mr Cian Byzery makes leather goods (notebook covers, coin purses, card holders, wallets, bags, belts, etc.), accessories (pendants, key rings, etc.) but also made-to-measure items.
Testimony of L'Atelier du Chat Lunatique
"Entirely self-taught, a great enthusiast of traditional crafts, a lover of history and fantastical epics, I first cut my teeth on leathers of European origin whose quality varied from one order to another. It was after having mastered the basics of the trade including manual saddle stitch sewing, developed my taste for dyes and began to learn the art of embossing that I decided to turn to Pykara leather from the Radermecker tannery whose I had been praised several times."
" I took advantage of a promotion to try the natural Pykara shoulder without finishing, I immediately fell in love with it. First of all the smell, strong and heady, a sign of quality and tradition then the quality of the hide, the grain has very few defects, the rind is soft and lint-free, the grain is tight. It pushes back very smoothly, allowing me to achieve a high level of detail with much more ease than the leathers I used before. In terms of dyeing, it’s ideal for the techniques I use. Pykara is a very light leather, which allows you to produce dyes with controlled colorimetry, no unpleasant surprises. Its low feeding rate makes it an ideal leather for color gradients and overlays. It is a leather that ticks all the boxes in my specifications and which supports me in the manufacture of knife sheaths, bags of all kinds and any other saddlery-leather goods item ordered from me."

Les Cuirs de Coline
Presentation of Les Cuirs de Coline
Mrs. Coline Faivre discovered saddlery completely by chance and was always encouraged by her father, who knew she was very manual. She first started to bridle for her mares in parallel with her studies, in a self-taught way. Then, passionately, she created her micro-business Les Cuirs de Colinein parallel with her cow-cheese activity, where she offers equestrian bridles, cow bells, luggage and leather goods of all kinds, all made to measure.
Testimony of Les Cuirs de Coline
" I discovered Radermecker tannery while looking for leather on Internet when I was just starting out, following a first purchase of poor quality from a retailer. The passion and know-how of Radermecker tannery, transmitted through their blog seduced me, so I ordered, and have never been disappointed! I was amazed by their soft, supple and robust leathers, and above all easy to work with, regardless of their thickness. The tannery is also very reactive, whether by email or telephone, for orders or for advice, which is very appreciable, especially when you start on your own."
"Pykara leather has the advantage of being smooth to the touch and uniform in color, without any wrinkle of hide, perfect for people who like things sober and orderly. It is a leather that is above all very robust, easy to cut and shape, which makes it very versatile. Personally, I use it mainly in leather goods and luggage, where, in addition to its physical aspect, I look for durability, which involves the working techniques used (saddle stitch seams, edge finishing, etc.) but also and especially by the tanning of the leather."
