Zoom in on our Hukou leather

The saddle leather Hukou is an full grain leather unpressed, uncorrected, visible grain.

This is 100% vegetable-tanned leather with velvet-tinted flesh.

It is distinguished by its strong suppleness, giving it a silky touch throughout its life, and will absorb any food perfectly. On this leather, wrinkles and grain are particularly pronounced - that's what makes it so different!

It is available in 2 colors, black and chocolate, and is 2/3mm thick.

Hukou leather is ideal for leather goods: bags, "purse" wallets, aprons, and
can also be used for réalization horse saddle seats and horse saddle cushions, as well as for flaps horse saddle linings.
It is also used for harness linings and draft horse collars.

Alain Jansen

testimony and réalization

"I was looking for soft vegetable-tanned leather, which is hard to find. At first, I thought it was too soft, and wondered how to finish the edges (I should point out that I'm a pure amateur, my Realizations are a DIY hobby).

But they smoothed out perfectly and beautifully. Mounting on the reverse was easy, but cutting a little less so. The finish is very supple yet thick, giving an impression of durability, the touch is soft and rich, and visually, the natural look of this leather is magnificent.

For the straps, I opted for Niagara in the same tone. The greater rigidity of this leather adapts well to their function, and the contrast is a beautiful effect."

Les Traits de Jadis

testimony and réalization

"Here's a necklace body made with Radermecker's Hukou leather.

We worked on a traditional necklace stuffed with rye straw and horsehair.

Ash wood and wrought-iron splints complete the collar body.

We're using this year to fine-tune this model, which we'll be able to offer for sale as early as next year."
