Saddle leather Stretched Della is the leather for saddle stirrups and grith straps. Stretched Della leather is a full grain leather unpressed, uncorrected, smooth grain. This leather is mineral tanned which is reworked wet and positioned on frames. Under tension, it minimizes its elasticity and elongation, and increases its absorption of direct stress without altering its tensile strength. This leather has an aniline finish finish that preserves the leather's natural appearance. The heart of the leather is nourished in a tallow bath. This fat-bath nourishment facilitates cutting and working, and increases water resistance. Tallow ensures maintenance-free leather, as the grease is constantly applied to the surface of the leather, giving it the nourishment it needs and an excellent patina.

A rider for over 40 years, Mrs Laurence Descharmes could never find the ideal or out-of-the-ordinary equipment, so naturally she started making her own equipment and created her own workshop: Springtime Cuir. For over 10 years, Mrs. Laurence Descharmes has specialized in equestrian bridles (snaffles, halters, side-pulls, hunting collars, stirrups, etc.), always combined with yellow brass or nickel-plated buckles, depending on the customer's choice. Laurence Descharmes also offers dog saddlery and small leather goods.
All her work is done by hand, with saddle-stitch sewing whatever the length, as Ms Laurence Descharmes is keen to preserve a totally artisanal approach in the noblest sense of the word. Prioritizing quality over quantity, she works mainly to order. As a result, the care taken in the design of future equipment is a guarantee of solidity and longevity.
