The saddle leather Niagara stretched is a leather full grain unpressed, uncorrected, smooth grain.
This vegetable-tanned leather is reworked in the wet and positioned on frames.
Under tension, it minimizes its elasticity and elongation, and increases the absorption of direct stress without altering its tensile strength. An aniline finish preserves the natural appearance of the leather.
Stretched Niagara leather is used mainly for réalization stirrups and grith straps horse saddles.

testimony
"A fellow saddler told me about your leathers, but I'd also heard a lot of good things about them elsewhere (social networks in particular). As you can never make up your mind better than by trying them out for yourself, I placed an order for several leathers. So I was able to test the Niagara pre-stretched leather, and make a pair ofstirrups with a pretty decorative seam. To do this, I cut the strips with my mechanical knife, worked the edges (formoir, abat carre, dye and wax). I sewed the stainless steel loops by hand with blue thread. Then I made the adjustment holes and the marker numbering."
