Features of Niagara dyed half back straps :

saddle leather Niagara is a 100% natural leather. Niagara dyed half back leather strap is a full-grain leather, unpressed, uncorrected, with smooth grain and flesh. It is vegetable-tanned and therefore non-allergenic. Vegetable tannins provide firmness and high resistance to elongation. This leather has an aniline finish that preserves the natural appearance of the leather; Niagara dyed half back leather strap is available in Black, Chocolate, Havana, Cognac and Victoria aniline finishes. It is heart-fed in a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as " tallow leather". This food makes for easier cutting and working, as well as greater resistance to water. Tallow ensures maintenance-free leather, as the fat is constantly applied to the surface of the leather, giving it the necessary nourishment and an excellent patina. Thanks to this nourishment, saddle leather Niagara is highly resistant to outdoor use, rejecting any external disturbance (water / salty environment). This makes saddle leather ideal for intensive wear and tear, such as in the equestrian sector.

Origin of Niagara dyed half back straps :

Half-back straps Niagara dyed are sourced fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in production, a leather traceability process has been set up at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Uses of Niagara dyed half back straps :

Niagara dyed half back leather strap can be used for harness parts such as halters, snaffles, harnesses, bridle reins, headpieces, uprights, frontals, nosebands, lanyards, under-groins, and straps.
It can also be used in leather goods, especially when you need long lengths of leather: belts, bag handles, bracelets, watch straps, dog and cat collars, etc.
Slices on saddle leather Niagara can be finished with our edges paint  available in Black, Chocolate, Havana, Cognac and Victoria.
Leather molding work can be carried out with saddle leather Niagara, as well as leather marking work (hot and cold).
Embossing work on our Niagara leather is not recommended, as with its fat bath feeding, the leather will regain its natural thickness, and the embossed patterns will fade over time. For embossing work on leather, we recommend our natural Pykara leather in shoulder, half shoulder, quarter of shoulder and shoulder strap.

Dimensions and hide area of Niagara dyed half back leather strap:

Care instructions of Niagara dyed half back straps :

For the maintenance of Niagara saddle leather: thanks to the feeding in tallow bath, the fat is impregnated on the whole thickness of the Niagara saddle leather, so there is no need for feeding over time. Food can be applied to the grain to ensure its fatty appearance or to accelerate the patina of the leather. This care of the grain ensures a longer life for the leather. Our Niagara saddle leather will resist moisture. Just let them dry at room temperature and they will regain their appearance. Due to its nourishment in a tallow bath (grease), on temperature shocks, a whitish film of paraffin rise can form. Simply rub it off.
