Features of saddle leather Niagara dyed shoulder straps:

The saddle leather Niagara is a 100% natural leather. It is a full grain leather, not pressed, not corrected, with a smooth grain and flesh. It is a vegetable tanned leather and therefore a non-allergenic leather. The vegetable tannins make it possible to have a firm and resistant leather. This leather has an aniline finish which preserves the natural appearance of the leather. The shoulder strap Niagara dyed is available in Black, Chocolate, Havana, Cognac and Victoria aniline finishes. It is fed in a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as "tallow leather". This food makes it easier to cut and work, as well as being more resistant to water. The tallow makes it possible to have a leather without maintenance because the fat is given in a constant way on the surface of the leather, giving it the necessary food and a patina of excellence. Thanks to this nourishment, the saddle leather Niagara has an advanced resistance in outdoor use, it will reject any external disturbance (water / salty environment). This saddle leather is therefore suitable for intensive wear.

Origin of Niagara dyed shoulder straps:

shoulder Niagara dyed straps are sourced fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in production, a leather traceability process has been set up at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Uses of Niagara dyed shoulder straps:

Leather shoulder strap Niagara dyed can be used for all leather goods, small leather goods and cutlery: belts, bag handles, bracelets, watch straps, dog and cat collars, etc. It is the most popular leather for belts because of its natural finish, resistance to elongation and long life.
The finishing of the edges of saddle leather Niagara can be done with our edges paint available in Black, Chocolate, Havana, Cognac and Victoria.
Moulding and marking (hot and cold) can be done with saddle leather Niagara.
Embossing on our Niagara leather is not recommended, as the leather will regain its natural thickness and the embossed patterns will fade over time. For leather embossing work, we recommend our saddle leather natural Pykara in shoulderhalf shoulder, quarter of shoulder and shoulder strap.

Dimensions and hide area of Niagara dyed shoulder straps:

The shoulder corresponds to the animal's neck and is often wrinkled due to the movements of the animal's head. This part is very much in use, as it can be lent in all directions. We offer Niagara dyed shoulder straps in 4 dimensions:

  • Length 120cm x Width 3cm
  • Length 120cm x Width 4cm
  • Length 140cm x Width 3cm
  • Length 140cm x Width 4cm

Please refer to the "Guaranteed dimensions" tab above for a diagram explaining the " shoulder strap" and the corresponding guaranteed dimensions.
If you require a leather length greater than 140cm, the saddle leather Niagara is available in half back strap innatural and dyed , in the following sizes: 180x3cm, 220x3cm, 180x4cm and 220x4cm.

Care instructions of Niagara dyed shoulder straps:

For the care of saddle leather Niagara: thanks to the suet bath feeding, the fat is impregnated on the whole thickness of the saddle leather Niagara, so there is no need for feeding over time. Food can be applied to the grain to ensure its greasy appearance or to accelerate the patina of the leather. This care of the grain ensures a longer life. Our saddle leather Niagara will resist humidity. Just let it dry at room temperature and it will look like new. Due to the fact that it is fed in a tallow bath (grease), a whitish film of paraffin can form on temperature shocks. Simply rub it off.
