How is the thickness of leather measured?
The thickness of the leather is measured with a tool called a rod. This tool pinches the hide in its thickness and provides a precise measurement in millimetres. Depending on the skin area, our leathers are available in different thicknesses. Depending on the thickness, the finish on the flesh side of the hide can be either unfinished or finished.
What is unfinished leather flesh?
The flesh side of the leather has the natural colour of the leather, the flesh is not dyed.
What is finished flesh of leather?
