Pigmented dyed split leather for leather goods

The quality of our Detian pigmented finish split leather in butt for your leather goods creations.

Features of Detian dyed split leather :

Dyed Detian butt is a smooth grain and flesh leather crust. It is amineral-tanned leather. This leather crust ispigmented finished in White, Black and Chocolate. This pigmented finish consists of applying an opaque layer of pigment to completely cover the asperities of the leather, and ensures good protection of the leather against light, rubbing and stains. The appearance is less natural than the aniline finish. Dyed Detian butt isnourished with emulsion oil. This is a liquid oil feed added to our drums. The leather will feed on the oil in order to be nourished. This is ideal for leather goods requiring a high, fat-free finish.

Origin of dyed Detian butt:

Detian dyed butt are sourced fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, Radermecker Tannery has set up aleather traceability process. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Uses of dyed Detian butt :

Dimensions and hide area of dyed Detian butt :

The butt is one of the thickest and firmest areas of skin. The sides, shoulder and all extremities have been removed. The butt is considered the noblest part of the leather. This area has no primer and can therefore be cut in any direction. This area is used in particular for parts requiring greater strength.

We guarantee on the dyed Detian butt a leather surface of 2.10 to 2.30m², with a length greater than 110cm and a width greater than 140cm. Please see the "Guaranteed dimensions" tab above for an explanatory diagram of the butt leather area and the corresponding guaranteed dimensions.

Dyed Detian butt care tips :

For thecare of your leathers, we advise you to: Pay particular attention to exposure to light, which can alter the color of your leathers. Always dust your leathers with a dry cloth before applying a specific treatment. In the event of contact with water, allow your leather to dry naturally, at room temperature, without any additional heat source.
For the care of our pigmented dyed Detian split leather, the food will remain on the surface of the leather without penetrating it on the grain side, as the pigments form an impermeable protective film. Food can be applied to the flesh side of the leather (for dark and chocolate shades) to restore suppleness.
