half-back full grain leather vegetable tanning with aniline finish for leather goods
The quality of our vegetable tanned half backs and aniline finishes Niagara for your leather goods
Features of saddle leather Niagara half-back dyed :
Niagara saddle leather is 100% natural leather. Tinted Niagara half-back is an unpressed, uncorrected full-grain leather, with smooth tinted grain and flesh. It is vegetable-tanned and therefore non-allergenic. Vegetable tannins provide firmness and high resistance to elongation. This leather has an aniline finish that preserves its natural appearance. Dyed Niagara half-back is available in Black, Chocolate, Havana and Cognac aniline finishes. It is heart-fed in a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as " tallow leather". This food makes for easier cutting and working, as well as greater resistance to water. Tallow also ensures maintenance-free leather, as the fat is constantly added to the surface of the leather, giving it the nourishment it needs and an excellent patina. Thanks to this nourishment, Niagara saddle leather is highly resistant to outdoor use, rejecting any external disturbance (water / salty environment). This saddle leather is therefore suitable for intensive wear.
Origin of half back Niagara dyed:
Niagara half-backs come fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in production, a leather traceability process has been set up at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.
Uses of half-back Niagara dyed:
Niagara saddle leather in tinted half-back can be used for leather goods, particularly when you need long lengths of leather: belts, wallets, card holders, key rings, bags, purses, pouches, wristbands, watch straps, under-hand, knife sheaths, dog and cat collars, and so on. It's the most popular leather réalization belts, thanks to its natural finish, resistance to elongation and long-lasting nourishment.
Saddle leather can also be used for furnishings: for example, to réalization or restore the seat of a chair or armchair in thick, rigid leather, to cover the work surface of an office or the doors of a dressing room.
Saddle leather can also be used for harness parts: halters, snaffles, harnesses, bridle reins, headpieces, uprights, nosebands, lanyards, throat straps and girths.
The edges of Niagara saddle leather can be finished with our slice waxes available in Black, Chocolate, Havana and Cognac.
Moulding and marking (hot and cold) can be carried out with Niagara saddle leather .
Embossing work on our Niagara saddle leather is not recommended, as with its fat bath feeding, the leather will regain its natural thickness, and the embossed patterns will fade over time. For embossing work on leather, we recommend our natural Pykara saddle leather in shoulder, half shoulder, quarter shoulder and shoulderstrap .

Care instructions for saddle leather Niagara half-back dyed:
For the care of saddle leather Niagara, thanks to the tallow bath feed, the fat is impregnated throughout the thickness of the saddle leather Niagara, so there is no need to feed over time. Food can be applied to the grain to ensure its greasy appearance or to accelerate the patina of the leather. This care of the grain will ensure a longer life. Our saddle leather Niagara will resist humidity. Just let it dry at room temperature and it will look great again. Because it is fed in a tallow bath (grease), a whitish film of paraffin build-up can form on temperature shocks. Simply rub it off.
