Features of Angel saddle leather full hide

Angel saddle leather is the leather for horse saddles. The Angel full hide is an unpressed, uncorrected, full grain saddle leather. This leather has an aniline finish which retains the natural appearance of the leather. It has a through dye and is enhanced by velvet dyed flesh. This leather benefits from an exceptional stretching elasticity which facilitates the operations of assembly of the leather. It is a mineral tanned leather. It is characterised by a strong suppleness giving it a silky touch throughout its life once stretched. It has a grippy feel to ensure a good grip. It will perfectly absorb any food throughout its life.

Origin of Angel full hides

Angel full hides are sourced from selected beef and bull farms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather linked to its production, a leather traceability process has been set up at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Use of the Angel full hide

Angel leather is the leather for horses saddle . We recommend the use of our Angel saddle leather in thickness 1.8-2mm for horse saddle seats and in thickness 1.3-1.5mm for horse saddle cushions and for horse saddle flaps linings.
Angel saddle leather can also be used for linings for harness parts, in which case we recommend 1.3/1.5mm thickness.
Angel saddle leather can also be used to make soft leather goods such as bags, aprons, purses, etc.

Dimensions and hide area of Angel saddle leather

Angel full hide includes shoulder, butt and sides. We offer 2 sizes:

• From 5.00 to 5.50m² with a length greater than 190cm and a width greater than 170cm
• From 5.51 to 6.00m² with a length greater than 210cm and a width greater than 190cm

Care instructions for Angel saddle leather

For themaintenance of your leather, we advise you in general: to pay particular attention to exposure to light, which can alter the shade of your leather, to always dust your leather with a dry cloth before applying a specific treatment. In case of contact with water, let your leather dry naturally, at room temperature, without any additional heat source.
For the maintenance of Angel saddle leather: A feed on the grain will nourish the areas between the pores of the skin and the pores themselves. This is ultimately the same process as feeding your hands when the skin is dry. Our Angel saddle leather will resist moisture, just let it dry at room temperature and it will look great again. Moistening the Angel leather allows it to have more elasticity and softness, the Angel saddle leather will shrink during the drying process without altering the hand and its flexibility.
