Features of the saddle leather Angel half hide

Angel leather is the soft leather for lining harness parts. The Angel half hide is an unpressed, uncorrected,full grain saddle leather . This leather has an aniline finish which retains the natural appearance of the leather. It has a through colour and is enhanced by its velvet-coloured flesh. This leather is exceptionally durable. It is a mineral tanned leather. It is distinguished by a strong suppleness giving it a silky touch throughout its life, even under strong tensions. The passage of the hand over the grain is comfortable because of its grip, a grip to the touch. It will perfectly absorb any food throughout its life.

Origin of Angel half-hides :

Angel half hides are sourced fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather linked to its production, a leather traceability process has been set up at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Uses of Angel half hide :

Angel half hide is ideal for lining harness parts, such as bridle rein linings.
Angel saddle leather can also be used to make horse saddle pads and saddle cushions, as well as linings for horse saddle flaps.
Angel saddle leather can also be used to make soft leather goods such as bags, aprons, purses, etc.
Angel saddle leather can also be used to make or restore chair or armchair seats, leather tablecloths or leather curtains.

Dimensions and hide area of Angel half hide :

The Angel half-hide includes the shoulder, butt and sides, and is cut lengthwise from shoulder to butt. We offer 2 sizes:

• From 2.50 to 2.75m² with a length greater than 190cm and a width greater than 75cm
• From 2.76 to 3.00m² with a length greater than 210cm and a width greater than 95cm

Care instructions of Angel in quarter of hide :

For thecare of your leather, we advise you in general: to pay particular attention to exposure to light, which can alter the colour of your leather, to always dust your leather with a dry cloth before applying a specific treatment. In case of contact with water, let your leather dry naturally, at room temperature, without any additional heat source.
For the care of the saddle leather Angel: A food on the grain will allow to nourish the zones between the pores of the skin and the pores themselves. This is ultimately the same process as feeding your hands when the hide is dry. Our saddle leather Angel will resist moisture, just let it dry at room temperature and it will look great again. Moistening the Angel leather allows it to have more elasticity and longevity, the Angel leather will shrink during the drying process without altering the hand and its flexibility.
