Features of the Niagara shoulder Acajou saddle leather :

Niagara saddle leather is 100% natural leather. It is an unpressed, uncorrected full-grain leather, with smooth dyed grain and flesh. It's vegetable-tanned, so it's non-allergenic. Vegetable tannins make the leather firm and resistant. This leather has an aniline finish that preserves its natural appearance. It is heart-fed in a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as " tallow leather". This nourishment makes the leather easier to cut and work, as well as increasing its resistance to water. Tallow also ensures maintenance-free leather, as the fat is constantly added to the surface of the leather, giving it the nourishment it needs and an excellent patina. Thanks to this nourishment, Niagara saddle leather is highly resistant to outdoor use, rejecting any external disturbance (water / salty environment). This saddle leather is therefore suitable for intensive wear.

Origin of Niagara Acajou snares :

Niagara Acajou snares are sourced fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, Radermecker Tannery has set up a leather traceability process. Traceability covers sourcing, fulling, finishing and associated quality testing.

Maintenance tips for the Niagara Acajou shoulder :

Thanks to tallow bath feeding, the fat is impregnated throughout the entire thickness of the Niagara saddle leather , so there's no need to feed over time. Food can be applied to the grain to maintain its greasy appearance or accelerate the leather's patina. This care of the grain ensures a longer life. Our Niagara saddle leather is moisture-resistant. Simply leave to dry at room temperature to regain its appearance. Because it is fed in a tallow bath (grease), a whitish film of paraffin can form on temperature shocks. Simply rub it off.
