Features of full hide saddle leather Hukou

The saddleleather Hukou is horse saddle leather. The full hide Hukou is afull-grainsaddle leather, unpressed, uncorrected, with visible grain. This leather has aaniline finishwhich preserves the natural appearance of the leather. It has athrough-toneand is enhanced by velvet-tinted flesh. This is avegetable-tanned leather. It is characterized by a high degree of softness, giving it a silky touch throughout its life once stretched. Wrinkles and grain are particularly pronounced on Hukou leather. Full hide Hukou leather is available in 2/3mm thickness.

Origin of Hukou full hide

Hukou full hides come fromselected beef and bullfarms in France, Germany, Spain and Italy. To guarantee the quality of the leather used in its production, Radermecker Tannery has set up atraceability process for all hides. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process.

Using of full hide Hukou

Hukou leather is the leather for horse saddles. We recommend our Hukou saddle leather for horse saddle seats and saddle pads, as well as for horse saddle flap linings.
Hukou saddle leather can also be used for linings for harness parts, such as draft horse collars.
Hukou saddle leather can also be used to make soft leather goods, such as bags, aprons, purses, etc.

Dimensions and hide area of Hukou saddle leather

The full hide Hukou includes shoulder, butt and sides. We offer 2 sizes:

• From 3.00 to 3.50m² with a length greater than 150cm and a width greater than 150cm
• From 3.51 to 4.00m² with a length greater than 170cm and a width greater than 170cm

Care instructions of Hukou saddle leather

For thecare of your leathers, we advise you to: pay particular attention to exposure to light, which can alter the color of your leathers; always dust your leathers with a dry cloth before applying a specific treatment. If your leather comes into contact with water, allow it to dry naturally, at room temperature, without any additional heat source.
To care for Hukou saddle leather:Feeding the grain will nourish the areas between the hide pores and the pores themselves. It's the same process as feeding your hands when the hide is dry. Our Hukou saddle leather is moisture-resistant, so simply let it dry at room temperature and it will look as good as new. Moistening Hukou leather gives it greater elasticity and longevity, and Hukou saddle leather will shrink during drying without altering the softness of the hand.
