Presentation of Atelier C - Carole Création Cuir
After training as an artisan designer in leather goods, Mrs Carole Paulais launched her line of leather goods in November 2013. L'Atelier C - Carole Création Cuir presents a range of colorful handbags and small leather goods, combining textures and shapes, for women and men. It is in her workshop-boutique located in Le Château d'Oléron in France that Mrs Carole Paulais designs her models reconciling function, practicality, aesthetics and fashion. These elements lead him to highlight lines, shapes and curves to enhance comfort. She works alone, each of the manufacturing steps is important: from an initial drawing, she patronizes all the parts that will make up the bag, then she cuts the material by hand before preparing and working the elements to assemble them at the sewing machine. The materials are mainly calfskin and/or cowhide from mainly French but also European tanneries. The linings are in fabric or leather. From the unique piece of her imagination to tailor-made items, she likes to combine sobriety and originality to highlight the object and the material.
Testimony of Atelier C - Carole Création Cuir
"I discovered Radermecker Tannery a short time ago because I was looking for a firm belted leather to complete my offer. So I tested Niagara leather tinted Black and Victoria in 3/3.5mm. I am delighted with my purchase, the leather is easy to work with despite its robustness and fully meets my expectations. Slice treatments with dye or gum tragacanth are easy to apply! In the same range, I recently used Niagara leather in havana shade in 2/2.5 mm to make a mini-series of “small satchel” bags for my collection. This model requires firm but not too thick leather in order to maintain an elegant line. During manufacture, the leather is easy to cut, assemble and stitch by machine. Finishing the edges with smooth tragacanth gum gives a very natural finish. The havana shade offers a wide choice of colors to combine, the best for me! I also ordered this leather in black, so soon a new mini-series to discover."

Testimony of La Rose des Cuirs
"The choice of leather is a crucial element of our work. The know-how of the saddler is there to sublimate this noble material. This is the reason why I work today with Radermecker Tannery after having tried different products. I use Niagara leather for the majority of my productions, but also Della for stirrup and girth straps, Printed Gavarnie or Angel for the lining and seats. I particularly appreciate the shades of colors found in Niagara. These allow us to create a unique product and remind us that this leather is “alive”: its color will evolve during successive feedings. It is soft leather that is extremely pleasant to work with and that offers a finished product that holds up very well, is both solid and pleasant to wear."
