Vanessa Reveillon

Newsleather Radermecker - Vanessa Reveillon

The Vanessa Réveillon brand has 5 years of existence. The workshop is located in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. It is in her workshop that Mrs Vanessa Réveillon creates bags and leather accessories but also belts, equestrian and canine pieces in the purest tradition of craftsmanship. Most of her creations are customizable (choice of leather, thread color, buckles, etc.). With refined lines, her creations combine aesthetics and practicality, and have the particularity of bearing the first name of her ancestors.

"What a joy to work with Niagara leather... I really like this leather combining robustness and softness. For the "Marguerite" bag, I work with a shoulder. I highlight the wrinkles of the neck on my creations. The leather acquires a magnificient patina over time, and becomes softer. As all my creations (made with saddle leather) are entirely shaped by hand (cuts and seams), it is very important that the tools react well. The half-moon knife, the square wood glide over the entire length of the piece, and it's a very pleasant feeling. When I present the different colors of shoulder by unfolding the skin in front of my clients, their reaction is always the same, they caress the skin and a phrase comes up regulary : "That is leather"."

L'atelier Alhéna

Newsleather Radermecker - L'atelier Alhéna

Based in Lugny in France, Mrs Céline Gombert created her handcrafted saddlery in April 2019 : L'Atelier Alhéna. Attracted by the authenticity of beautiful materials, Mrs Céline Gombert naturally turned to the profession of Harness-maker. She specializes in the manufacture of tailor-made equine saddlery (bridles, saddles, etc.) and their repair. She also produces canine articles (collars, harnesses, leashes, etc.), and leather goods (belts, bags, etc.) All the manufacturing steps are carried out by hand, without any machine, from cutting to seams. Each piece is unique and manufactured according to the traditional know-how of French saddlery, and in the constant search for optimal comfort for the horse and its rider.

"I work with the Niagara leather in half-backs, which present a very good compromise between softness and firmness. Very pleasant to work, the Niagara offers a good rendering of seams and is resistant over time. The pieces are solid and age well, taking a beautiful patina."
