The sewing was also done by hand with ecru waxed laces.

"For my creations, I try to value materials and products from the region, so I naturally turned to the RADERMECKER Tannery, the working methods of hides, the leathers, the wise advice and the atmosphere of the place, make it a valued partner. Crafts of art is for me the creation of on object, but an object that tells a story, so it was important for me to associate a company like RADERMECKER. Among the leather that I use regulary, there is the Pykara. It is a leather that it easy to work with, it drills easily for the sewing sadlle stitch, it easily takes the dye, which allows to achieve patinas by combining several dyes."

Atelier La Tanière

Atelier La Tanière - Newsleather Radermecker

After a training in leather goods, and solid professional experiences, Mrs Aurore Cachera, a leather lover, has created her workshop : Atelier La Tanière. This one is situated in Villeneuve-l'Archevêque in France. Mrs Aurore Cachera makes confections and repairs of leather goods : belts, motorcycle accessories, bridles, bags and small leather goods. All her realisations are 100% handcraft. From the basic idea of drawing, to the pattern and the choice of materials, the customers of the Atelier La Tanière are real actors in the realisation of their projects.Mrs Aurore Cachera used our Pykara leather for this saddle. She worked the wet Pykara leather to carve it and mold it on the saddle. Then, she applied an antique to darken the bottom of the embossing.

"This leather is a pleasure to emboss, it offers a beautiful slide to the tools and offers beautiful reliefs. The rendering is round and sharp. I profusely recommend it for the embossing work."
