full grain leather Pykara

Full grain vegetable tanned Pykara leather for leather goods

The Pykara neck is a full grain vegetable tanned leather dedicated to leather goods. It will satisfy hot stamping, hammering, sewing and precise cutting. A very light natural leather, it offers a pleasant sensory experience, reflecting the nobility of leather.

For your embossing or moulding work, only natural Pykara leather is suitable. Dyed Pykara leather (black, chocolate, havana & cognac), because of its pigmented finish, will be suitable for your "classic" leather goods (without embossing or moulding).

Thanhsimone is a French brand of Artisanal Leather Goods, created by Mrs Thanh Le, a Vietnamese woman. She began to create this brand in France as an autodidact for 7 years, and only made products for those around her. Faithful to her roots, she created her Thanhsimone workshop in Saigon in Vietnam in early 2021, and thus began to develop her brand

Thanhsimone is the requirement of 100% handmade products with a real desire for elegance. The products are created with a unique design and are made by passionate Vietnamese leather craftsmen.

Thanhsimone is also a rigorous selection of quality leathers coming from Europe in order to avoid leathers coming from the world production mainly chrome tanned or tanned with brutal chemical agents. The leathers are therefore selected in tanneries working according to traditional vegetable tanning methods, more natural and ecological, thus limiting the risks of allergies and respecting the environment.

Testimony of Thanhsimone

"We use vegetable tanned leather, for their thickness and their resistance, to make saddlery products, small leather goods such as belts, card holders, glasses cases, knife cases, etc. But we want to use this leather for making more complex products with our own design. So I chose Pykara leather, one of my best choices. I love the smell of leather, its very pleasant touch and its elasticity that industrial leather have never had. The leather is thick and durable, very suitable for our seamless designs. After water working, it will not fade or lose its natural elasticity. In addition, it is the ideal leather for printing my design patterns on the surface of the leather."
