Tips for using and applying our edges paint for leather

edge paint for leather is applied in two coats, with drying in between.
Leather edge waxes can be applied with a brush, wool applicator or metal applicator, also known as a dye roller. Radermecker Tannery craftsmen apply the edge paint with a felt-tip applicator to avoid any spillage or dripping on the grain side of the leather.
Since edge paint is saturated with pigments, diluting it will not result in a lighter shade. To obtain other shades, leather edge waxes can be mixed with each other. Leather slice waxes cannot be mixed with aniline leather dyes, as the polyurethane base and aqueous pigments will not mix with the solvent, and may produce a precipitated molasses.
If you want to add color to your saddlery or leather goods, discover the aniline dye for leather available in Dark, Chocolate, Havana, Victoria, Cognac, Mahogany, Caramel, Passion Red, Forest Green and Midnight Blue.
