The leather used for our horse pads benefits from our food in a fat bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat). This fatty food makes it easier to cut the horse pad. Thanks to this fatty food, the leather horse pad retains its natural thickness under heavy pressure and absorbs shocks. The grease-filled leather horse pad also prevents water penetration. This saddle leather horse pad provides full protection for the horse's feet, especially the sole (the palmar surface for the foreleg, or plantar surface for the hind leg). Our horse pad is also compatible with all kinds of silicone. In order to meet all the needs of farriers, our horse pads in saddle leather are available in 2 sizes: 18x18cm and 16x16cm, and in 4 thicknesses: 3mm, 3.5mm, 4mm and 4.5mm (with a variability of +/- 0.2mm).
