Leather Angel is the hide for horse saddles. It is a full grain leather with a aniline finish. It is used for horse saddle seats, cushions and padding. It is also used, for example, to réalization leather aprons and soft bags.

After 11 years working for a company specializing in the manufacture of concrete products, Magali Gautier decided to redirect her professional career towardscraftmanship. Her passion for horses naturally led her to choose the trade of saddlery harness maker, working with leather, creating, repairing and renovating. After training, Magali Gautier set up her own workshop in Poussignac, France: L'Atelier du Cuir, where she carries out all saddle repairs (seat, padding, cleats, grith straps, stirrups, saddle quarters, etc.) as well as unique creations such as halters, stirrups and belts.

It's a very soft leather, very easy to put on, the thickness, the feel, and the smell!!! A pure delight. The hide is very large, making it possible to make several repairs to several saddles. After reassembling the different parts of the saddle, I apply oil to nourish the leather."

Ms. Nele De Smet set up her creative leather goods workshop, Atelier Nestor, around July last year in her hometown of Ninove, Belgium. When she finished her training as a harness saddler a few years ago, her passion for the old traditional techniques ofcraftmanship and making something with her own hands from a beautiful piece of leather became part of her life. Ms Nele De Smet loves to create unique, durable, high-quality leather objects that can be customized and made to measure. Also restoring and repairing leather goods with a history to last a lifetime is one of the crafts you can find at Atelier Nestor. Nestor's name recalls the importance of passing on this knowledge of leather goods and nurturing this passion through teaching and workshops, like his father, who passes on his infinite know-how every day.

"The black Angel leather I used to make a custom-fitted apron for a goldsmith was a real pleasure to work with, as are all the other leathers Radermecker Tannery has to offer. It has an incredibly soft texture and the beautiful tinted full-grain side blends perfectly with the velvety flesh side.
