"I've been using Niagara for 4 years. I've been to several tanneries, I've tested several leathers, but I haven't found anywhere else a leather that suits me better. It's pleasant and comfortable to work with, has a great patina and ages beautifully. Well nourished, it's soft and doesn't need to be oiled before use. What's more, it's easy and time-saving to care for, which riders appreciate. Over time, it softens without ever losing its hold. Its color changes over time, revealing its nuances. My customers are convinced, and I swear by Niagara for my Realizations bridle ! "

Cover & Couch

Newsleather Radermecker - Cover and Couch

Cover &Couch is a furniture studio based in Antwerp, Belgium, founded by Sophie Doore 8 years ago. Working with antique dealers, interior architects, designers and private clients, she creates contemporary and classic pieces by combining traditional and modern upholstery techniques, with great attention to detail and respect for original design. Sophie Doore uses Niagara for model AP14 or "Anneau flesh" by Pierre Paulin. The chair pictured is available via City Futniture.

"To make this chair, I use 2Niagara shoulders . Together they form a ring (hence the name "Anneau flesh") that fits around the frame. In my opinion, the beauty of this material lies in its simplicity and authenticity. Niagara already has a natural patina that normally only appears over time. Each hide is unique. Depending on light exposure, environmental conditions and use, this material becomes even richer."

Newsleather Radermecker - Jeffrey Vanhille

Locatedin Bruges, Belgium, Jeffrey Vanhille is an upholsterer and furniture restorer specializing in mid-20th century modern furniture. The emphasis of his work is on maintaining the original design. He tries to work as much as possible with European products. His clients include private clients, art galleries and a major Belgian private bank. Jeffrey Vanhille uses Niagara to make chairs.

" Niagara is one of my favorite leathers in the workshop. This leather is very reliable and durable, whatever the thickness, and it gives me peace of mind when I deliver a réalization to a customer. Sometimes leather is used on frames, where all the seating pressure is concentrated on the floating area. The Niagara carries the whole body, without compromising the original shape. The stitching stays in place, without cutting into the leather. Using leather during furniture construction is a pure pleasure. Cutting it is like preparing a fresh buttered sandwich. Sharp knives cut through it in beautiful, straight lines. And on top of all this, there's the absolutely magnificent and unique patina that can be given to leather. I'm still experimenting, and it gives me real pleasure to see all this beauty come out. Niagara leather makes me love my work! "
