The Picnik table in Hukou leather is the fruit of the meeting of Mr Luc Depuydt and Dirk Wynants, interior architect and founder of Extremis. Mr Luc Depuydt is a leather craftsman based in his workshop in Watou, Belgium. His work ranges from leather goods to gadgets. Founded in 1994, Extremis has a mission: to combine intelligent design based on common sense with our nature, with a range of "out of the ordinary" furniture featuring exceptional functionality and timeless design .
"After consultation with Radermecker Tannery, we decided that Hukou leather was best suited for this project. The Picnik project in Hukou leather is a table with two seamless seats, to respect the same design as the aluminum Picnik table. It was unimaginable work, but the result is magnificent. Hukou leather is really a fantastic product to work with."
