Leersnijder Zappa's
Based in Meuwen Ellikom in Belgium, Mr Wim Bongaerts created his company in 2010 : Leersnijder Zappa's. Mr Wim bongaerts works in an authentic and traditional way. All his creations are cut, sewn and finished by hand. He only uses full grain vegetable tanned leather. There is no mass production, each piece is unique and is tailor-made to order. Mr Wim Bongaerts made especially bags, cases, wallets and belt.
"Making a bag or a case with the Savica leather from RADERMECKER is a pleasure to do so. The leather is perfect for hand sewing custom made products such as bags or cases, it can also be easily used for molding. Heleen Sintobin
Miss Heleen Sintobin is a Belgian furniture designer, material explorer with a background in interior architecture. She is inspired by daily life, ancient and strong>future making methods. Her work strives to convey the power of materials in a contemporary design context. Miss Heleen Sintobin decided to made her Digi-Vas Collection with the Savica leather, combining an ancient dyeing technique, shaping thanks to a 2D digital machine, hand-made molding and artisanal sewing.
"As a Belgian designer, it's a pleasure to work with in Belgium made quality products. For Digi-Vas Collection, I decided to work with the Savica leather which is fully satured with wax, very resistant and ages beautifully."
La Bourrellerie Jean Claude Collin
Based in Orp-Le-Grand in Belgium, Mr Jean-Claude Collin is a craftman saddler, heir to more than 180 years of experience. The gides of his work is the quality, the experience and the dialogue with the customer. He is specialised in harness and custom necklaces for draft horses. Mr Jean-claude Collin makes also leather goods such as belts or wallets.
"All my items are made with RADERMECKER Leather. I use Savica leather for the longshoremen horses. The texture of the leather is tight and offers more resistance. This leather is very suitable for the cover of necklaces. My father used Savica leather at the time when horses worked in the fields."
