It's at the foot of the Vercors massif in Die, France, that Sylvie Ducros has set up her workshop: Vercors Native, her place of inspiration and fabrication where the scent of leather perfumes the room. Trained as a cabinetmaker, she built her wooden workshop to house her leather goods premises in 2018. The name of her workshop is a reminder of her origins and the identity of the Vercors region.
Mme Sylvie Ducros' Realizations are entirely handmade and made-to-measure, with vegetable-tanned leathers. Each creation is the fruit of an assembly of authentic materials with a story behind it. Leather pieces can be customized according to the customer's needs.

"Personally, I dye Niagara leather only rarely, and I apply a nourishing Trimadel cream that enhances its distinctive veining. I work it very simply, relying on its exceptional characteristics. I rarely marry it, except occasionally with merino wool felt, or a beautiful solid brass buckle. "I've been using Niagara leather for a few years now, mainly for my Realizations equestrian gear. I also work with other tanneries for the same projects, but Niagara leather is just a treat to work with. My awl pierces it like butter and my cutter cuts it so easily, without forcing... Just a pleasure for hands and tools. The skins are supple and solid at the same time, with a very good hold, retaining their lively, natural appearance.
