Caractéristiques du cuir sellier Niagara lanière de collet bleu nuit :
saddle leather Niagara is a 100% natural leather. It is a full-grain leather, unpressed and uncorrected, with smooth grain and flesh. It is vegetable-tanned, and therefore non-allergenic. Vegetable tannins make the leather firm and resistant. It is heart-fed in a tallow bath (a mixture of paraffin and beef fat), more commonly known as " tallow leather". This nourishment makes the leather easier to cut and work, as well as making it more resistant to water. Tallow ensures maintenance-free leather, as the fat is constantly applied to the surface of the leather. Thanks to this nourishment, saddle leather Niagara is highly resistant to outdoor use, rejecting any external disturbance (water / salty environment). This makes saddle leather ideal for intensive wear.

For the maintenance of Niagara saddle leather: Thanks to the feeding in tallow bath, the fat is impregnated on the whole thickness of Niagara saddle leather, so there is no need for feeding over time. Food can be applied to the grain to ensure its fatty appearance or to accelerate the patina of the leather. This care of the grain ensures a longer life for the leather. Our Niagara saddle leather will resist moisture. Just let them dry at room temperature and they will regain their appearance. Due to its nourishment in a tallow bath (grease), on temperature shocks, a whitish film of paraffin rise can form. Simply rub it off.
