Caractéristiques des lanières de cuir Della étiré Chocolat :
Le cuir sellier Della étiré Chocolat est conçu pour la fabrication des étrivières et contre-sanglons de selle de cheval. Il s’agit d’un cuir pleine fleur, non pressée, non corrigée, au grain lisse. Ce cuir, issu d’un tannage minéral, est retravaillé en humide et positionné sur cadres. Sous l'effet de la tension, il minimise son élasticité, son allongement et accroît l'absorption d'efforts directs sans altérer sa résistance en traction. Ce cuir bénéficie d'une finition aniline qui conserve l’aspect naturel du cuir. La finition aniline consiste à l’application d’une légère couche transparente, de faible épaisseur sans altérer la texture du cuir. Il est nourri à cœur en bain de suif (mélange de paraffine et gras de bœuf), plus communément appelé "cuir suiffé". Cette nourriture en bain de graisses permet une facilité de découpe et de travail ainsi qu’une résistance à l’eau plus importante. Le suif permet d’avoir un cuir sans entretien puisque la graisse se donne de façon constante en surface du cuir, lui donnant la nourriture nécessaire et une patine d'excellence. Grâce à cette nourriture, le cuir sellier Della a une résistance avancée en usage extérieur, il rejettera toute perturbation extérieure (eau / environnement salin). Ce cuir sellier est donc approprié en usage intensif d’usure comme pour le secteur équestre.
Our tests show that leather elongation over 1000 stretching cycles at 75 Kg is less than 6%. In addition, a 25mm wide, 4.5mm thick strap has a breaking strength of over 360 Kg, the average being 450 Kg.

Les lanière de cuir Della étiré Chocolat proviennent d'targeted farms from beef or bulls originating in France, Germany, Spain or Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, a leather traceability process has been implemented at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process. Traceability covers sourcing, fulling, finishing and associated quality testing.

Stretched Della Chocolat leather is one-third butt. The butt is one of the thickest and firmest areas of hide . The flanks, shoulder and all extremities have been removed. The butt is considered the noblest part of the leather. This area has no primer and can therefore be cut in any direction. This area is used in particular for parts requiring greater strength.

Thanks to the tallow bath feed, the fat is impregnated throughout the entire thickness of theStretched Della saddle leather , so there's no need to feed over time. Food can be added to the grain to maintain its greasy appearance or accelerate the leather's patina. This care of the grain ensures a longer life. Our Della saddle leather is moisture-resistant. Simply leave to dry at room temperature to regain its appearance. Because it is fed in a tallow bath (grease), temperature shocks can cause a whitish film of paraffin to form. Simply rub it off.
