Features of Flaps leather Gavarnie black :

Gavarnie black saddle leather is the leather for horse saddle flaps . Flaps leather Gavarnie is an uncorrected full-grain leather, grained with Pécari grain or ungrained with smooth grain. This leather has a aniline finish. This finish is achieved by applying a combination of ananiline layer and a pigmented layer, lightly covering the hide. As a result, colors are more uniform, hide roughness is slightly veiled, and the leather is more resistant to soiling. The leather is vegetable-tanned and therefore non-allergenic. Vegetable tannins provide firmness and high resistance to elongation. It has a flow-through color and smooth, tinted flesh. Gavarnie full grain leather is nourished with emulsion oil. This is a liquid oil feed that we add to our drums. The leather will absorb the oil and be nourished. This leather offers both suppleness to accompany the movements of the saddle quarter and firmness to return flat and smooth after multiple bends.

Origin and traceability of Flaps leather Gavarnie black :

Flaps leather Gavarnie black comes fromtargeted livestocks from beef or bulls originating in France, Germany, Spain or Italy. To ensure the quality of the leather used in its production, a leather traceability process has been implemented at Radermecker Tannery. The hides are marked 3 times with 3 identifiers at each stage: on receipt of the hides, enabling traceability of the origin of the hides; during the tanning process; during the finishing process. Traceability covers sourcing, drum, finishing and associated quality testing.
